Our church has been going camping for a weekend
at Promised Land State Park in August for four years now. We
had 15 families represented in 2009! In 2010 we are moving over
to the Northwood campground area in Promised Land, to be able
to have electricity, hot showers, and pets
at each site. Please think about going with us. Paula
Thrasher has booked us as a group. Please contact her with your
name, address, phone, type of equipment, number of people, site
preference (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice). The cost is $61.00 (including
pets) payable to the church. Call Paula Thrasher with
any questions.
1st Wednesdays - Dinner
and a Prayer
Every 1st Wednesday night of the month, we will have dinner
followed by a prayer time. We will be meeting at the
Orlando's home from now thru the summer. Sign up
in the foyer or call the Office at 421-7662 or the Orlandos,
so the person making the meal knows how many to prepare for.
Picnic at 6pm, Prayer at 7pm. Bring the kids,
the Pool will be open, so bring your swimsuits. Please bring
a side dish, salads, veggies, desserts, chips.

Christmas
Child
OCC
at the West End Fair - This is a great
opportunity to share OCC with local churches and organizations
that are not aware of this ministry. It is also an opportunity
to share the love of God with those not connected with a church
body. The fair runs August 22-28. First Baptist will
be manning the booth on Friday, August 27 from noon to 10
p.m. You can help by donating items to be packed at the fair
or by volunteering 2 or 3 hours of your day helping at the
booth. Time slots on other days will be available
if that fits your schedule better. Please call Gigi Follick

This year we are running a "One
More Box" campaign. What that means is that
OCC is already commited to delivering boxes to certain children
in certain area's of the world. Our intentions are to now
go above and beyond our goal and be able to bring the joy
of Jesus Christ to the children of Haiti as well. Please
prayerfully consider packing an extra shoe box this year
for a child in Haiti.
It's school supply time!! Back to school
sales are now! What a great time to get supplies for OCC!
Notebooks, crayons, pens, pencils, erasers. Other necessary
items are soap, washcloths, toothpaste

just outside the kitchen.
